  • Not much, really. The biggest thing is the Raycast method. Instead of returning a boolean, it returns a value directly to a RaycastHit2D object (making this a required step instead of an optional one). This is okay since we use RaycastHits anyway and it's just as easy to check if a RaycastHit2D hits something than it is to check a boolean.
  • RaycastHit2D[] hits = Physics2D.RaycastAll(ray.origin, ray.direction, ... these changes basically make NGUI only detect hits with 2d colliders and not with 3d colliders. I plan on making my UI widgets, then manually changing the rigidbody to rigidbody2d and the collider to collider2d on all of the panels and widgets.

The problem is occurring because your Player is overlapping at the start of the raycast. There are few ways to fix this: 1.Disable Queries Start In Colliders.. Go to Edit->Project Settings->Physics 2D then make sure that Queries Start In Colliders is NOT checked.
