However, your last decision — your choice of whether to rent or buy a router and modem and if you do buy, which router or modem that is — can be your most important of all. I have 100/100 Mbps internet speed right now. I can get the Comcast gigabit speed plan for a little more and it's 1k/35 and I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy for the 1k download even if the upload is 35mbps. I know it's not fiber but no fiber is supported in my area. Money is not an issue.
