  • The simplest way is to make the Camera node a child of the Player node. If you can't do that for some reason, you can add a RemoteTransform node as a child of the Player. You give it the path to the Camera node, and it copies its own transform to the camera. Hope this helps ­– if not you, then someone else :)

Godot Pannable Camera: A re-usable camera helper for Godot I put together a little camera script that should be useful for RPGs, platformers, and RTS games in the free software Godot Game Engine . It has a top-down (or angled) camera that has built in key-bindings for panning around using WASD keys. It should look something like that: _process(delta): if is_current(): Globals.set("currentCamera", self) so, you could get the pos or all the methods and info from it later by doing: Globals.get("currentCamera").get_pos() Cafe Godot and the amazing staff are like family to us. Our little girl gets super excited to see her grown up friends and have big girl chinos with giant marshmallows-one of the only places where the baby-chino is "set" so it doesn't make a huge mess.
