• Dec 18, 2012 · I am trying to connect a Cisco 2500 WLC to a 6224 Power Connect and I cannot ping the WLC from within the Power Connect CLI. The WLC requires a trunk connection to the switch and I have tried configuring access, general, and trunk with no luck, Both the switch and WLC are on the same subnet.
  • Jan 26, 2011 · I tried adding the default-gateway pointing to the new b.b.b.b (but still cannot ping the vlan gateways). Services remain unaffected. However if I rollback and just leave the default route pointing to old a.a.a.a, services are still unaffected but we cannot ping the vlan gateways.

If you are using Windows Firewall, go to the Windows Firewall control panel, verify that "Don't Allow Exceptions" is not checked under the "General" tab, then click on the "Exceptions" tab and make sure there is a checkmark beside "Remote Desktop".

Can't see (ping) my workgroup on the wireless. I did reset my power on my Buffalo Wireless Broadband Using ping to see if I could touch the other computer in the workgroup the message returned was Manually set "Default gateway" (Note: Default gateway is the IP address of the router.)

If I configure the cisco router however, no such luck. I originally just changed the interface details and default route on the cisco but this wouldn't work. Out of frustration I erased the config (after backing it up to text file) and started again from scratch but I still cannot ping outside.
